It is becoming increasingly evident that Southern Spain is tired of the Franco regime and of Italian and German domination, says the “Daily Telegraph’s” Gibraltar correspondent. Street fighting is reported at Malaga and 25 demonstrators at La Linea are believed to have been executed.

It was reported yesterday from Gibraltar that a revolt had occurred in Andalusia (Southern Spain) against the Franco regime. Officers, lead by General de Llano, objected to the presence of Italians, fearing' that they were consolidating their position with a view to remaining in Spain after the war. Much anti-Fascist activity was stated to be gding on under the’ leadership of disaffected officers. Numerous arrests were reported to have been made.
