WICKETS FALL RAPIDLY

ON A TRICKY PITCH AUSTRALIA WIN WITH UTMOST EASE. PLENTY' OF TIME TO SPARE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. (Recd This Day, 9.23 a.m.) LONDON, June 3. The weather was sunny for the resumption of the match between Australia and Gloucestershire. The Australians continued their innings but O’Reilly and Ward were dismissed by successive balls from Sinfield, while Tyler finished off the Australians.

Sinfield was applauded for his outstanding figures against Australia thus far.

Gloucester commenced their second innings at 1.55 o’clock on a tricky wicket. The Gloucester wickets fell rapidly. ALLEN NOT SCARED. Allen was again the only batsman not scared by the spin bowlers. He had a life when he had scored six, but hung on until he reached 42, finally skying O’Reilly for a catch which was accepted by McCabe at forward square. BATSMEN SHOW LITTLE SKILL. Gloucester were all out after 105 minutes play. O’Reilly and Fleetwood-Smith bowled very well against batsmen who showed little skill. Australian required twenty-two runs in order to obtain a victory. McCabe offered batting practice to Waite and Ward. Despite the loss of the whole of the first day and seventy minutes of the second, Australia with the utmost ease won with 2J hours of play to spare. Australia won by ten wickets.
