GRANOLLERS RAID
EXPRESSION OF HORROR BY BRITAIN AT LOSS OF CIVILIAN LIFE. FRANCE AND VATICAN ASKED TO SECOND PROTEST. (Recd This Day, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, June 3. The Prime Minister (Mr Chamberlain), in a statement on the bombing of Granollers, said the Government had expressed to General Franco the horror with which it had learnt of the loss of civilian life, and had already approched France and the Vatican and urged them to take similar action in the interests of humanity.
