The Government had kept in close touch with the Dominion’s representatives in London who had secured after negotiation the right to land in the July-September quarter of 1938 maximum amounts of beef as follows: — Type ■of beef: Tons. Chilled 7,200 Frozen quarters 5,600 Boneless 6,200 Veal 1,400 Beef and veal offals .... 800 Total 21,200 Not only the total, but the individual ambunts also, especially of chilled beef, were very satisfactory, concluded Mr Nash.
