GOLF

♦ SOLDIERS’ TOURNAMENT. The Wairarapa Returned Soldiers will hold their annual golf tournament on June 29, at the Riverside links which have been kindly lent by the Riverside Club. An energetic committee has already arrangements well in hand. A novelty event will be a driving competition with the golfer wearing a full pack and tin helmet. A cup has been presented for the medal round and will be competed for in the morning in conjunction with the Stableford contest.

A circular giving full particulars will be sent to all returned soldier golfers in the Wairarapa and those overlooked are asked to communicate with the secretary.
