WHOLE WORLD GIRDED IN SECONDS. SWIFT PASSAGE OF DERBY RESULT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Cable and Wireless Ltd announces that they made special arrangements 'or sending the result of the English Derby to all parts of the world. The name of the winning horse was known in Montreal, Fiji and New Zealand only three seconds after it had passed ‘he post at Epsom. The message took five seconds to reach Bombay, Jamaica. Melbourne and Singapore and six seconds to get to Hong Kong.
