SANDERS HARRIER CUP
MASTERTON TO' MEET HUTT KEEN COMPETITION ANTICIPATED On the Park Oval tomorrow afternoon the Masterton Harrier Club will meet the Hutt Valley Club for the Sanders: Cup. A keen contest should be provided as the members of the local club have been training consistently for this contest. Tht Hutt Valley club are the holders of the Sanders Cup, and will send a strong team to defend the trophy. The course will be over two laps of the club's championship course, five miles in all, and the runners will finish by running one lap of the Oval. The Masterton club members are looking to G. Gregory. C. Wright. G. Sutherland, W. Pullar, R. Shaw. C. Long, T. O’Dowd. G. Frederickson, H. Harris. R. Warham, J. Warham. H. Carle to run prominently, but surprises may come from C. Pringle, J. Baikie, R. Gully, C. Ross, J. Haise, and D. Cairns (the latter will be having his first race in senior competition, and should run well). The Hutt Club is very strong in cross-country talent this year and will send about 40 runners for the contest. Following the race afternoon tea will be served in the Municipal Hall. At night a dance is to be held in honour of the visitors, and members are asked to do their utmost to make it a success. KIATERE CLUB TRAINING RUN The Kiatere Harrier Club will hold
a training run tomorrow. This will start from the Solway Showgrounds promptly at 2.30 p.m. On June 11 the club will compete in the Dannevirke Harrier Rally, when teams will be entered in both the A and B grade races.
