SIR MAURICE HANKEY’S LATE POSTS. APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED. (Recd This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, June 1. The posts that were occupied by Sir Maurice Hankey are to be filled by three men, namely Mr E. E. Bridges, son of the late Poet Laureate, who has been appointed Permanent Secretary and Secretary of Cabinet, Sir Robert Howarth, who has been appointed Clerk to the Privy Council and will remain Deputy-Secretary of Cabinet, and Colonel H. L. Ismay, who has been appointed Secretary of Imperial ■Defence.
