COURSING
ST. LEGER MEETING. EXCELLENT NOMINATIONS. Excellent nominations have been received by the Wairarapa Coursing Club for the New Zealand St. Leger Stakes and Maiden Stakes to be run on the enclosure, Akura, next Monday (King’s Birthday). Given fine weather the meeting promises to be one of the most successful ever conducted by the club and patrons are assured of an exciting and enjoyable afternoon’s sport. The entries received to date are as follow:— Mighty Fluke (Auckland), China Clipper (Napier), White Gold (Napier), Poker Face (Wellington), Ace Pot (Wellington), Queen of Diamonds (Wellington), Cute Miss (Wellington), Pitz Palu (Wellington), Not-a-Doubt (Eketahuna), Baker Boy (Eketahuna), Helen Rufus (Carterton), Gold Rod (Carterton), Jeanne (Carterton), Flying Veil (Masterton), Big Ben (Masterton), Native Pride (Masterton), Welcome Footsteps .(Masterton), British Pride (Masterton), Advance Acre (Masterton), Orui Girl (Masterton), Full-o-Gay (Masterton).
The draw will take place on Saturday night at 8 o’clock.
