OPTIMIST CLUB
IMPROMPTU SPEECHES. There was a good attendance at the weekly meeting of the Masterton Y.M.C.A. Optimist Club last night. Following tea and a sing-song, each member was called upon to give an impromptu speech, and there were some good efforts. The subjects were for the most part of a humorous nature. and the speakers provided plenty of amusement as they dealt with them. Arrangements were discussed for the visit to Masterton of members of the Wellington Optimist Club, although no definite date has yet been fixed in connection therewith.
