Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 30.22. Shade temperature: Maximum, 65.8; minimum, 37.6; terrestrial, 28.5. Sunshine, 7 hours 42 min. Rain, trace. Frost, 1.9 deg.
Pressure has risen somewhat over the Dominion and especially to the eastward. A series of slight westerly depressions has been crossing the South Island and a deep one is now located over south-eastern Australia. Forecast: Light to moderate southerly to north-westerly winds prevailing and later freshening. Weather mainly fair and mild but occasional scattered rains probable, principally in west of the ranges.
