DRUIDS’ LODGE
QUARTERLY MEETING. NOMINATION OF OFFICERS. The quarterly summoned meeting of the Druids’ Lodge was held in the Foresters’ Hall last night, the A.D., Bro T. Pickett, presiding over a large attendance of Brethren. The lodge was favoured with the attendance of the District President, Bro H. J. Bassett, who was received with lodge honours. Visitors were also present from Totara and Poneke lodges. The secretary reported that eleven members had declared on the sick benefit of the lodge and all were progressing favourably. One clearance was accepted on behalf of a brother and one was granted to the Francton Lodge. It was decided to visit the Totara Lodge on Tuesday, June 5, for the installation ceremony of that lodge. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £3B 2s 5d were passed for payment. Bro F. Clark reported on the U.F.S. card tournament.
A vote of thanks was passed to Bro W. Pike for his services as an officer of the lodge. The nomination and election of officers resulted as follows: —J.P.A., Bro T. Pickett; A.D., Bro R. Wright; V.A., Bro F. Gray; secretary, Bro H. A. R. Dunderdale; treasurer, Bro J. Buckton; 1.G., Bro N. Keightly; 0.G., Bro W. Pike; A.D.B’s., Bro A. W. Russell, J. Morris; V.A.B’s, Bros A. E. Levick, J. Brown; musician, Bro C. F. Mills; M.C., Bro L. Knudsen. The officers will be installed by the District President next lodge night. At the conclusion of lodge business the members and visitors were enter, tained at winter games and supper.
