1940 OLYMPIC GAMES

BRITAIN UNLIKELY TO ENTER. LONDON, May 28. The London “Observer” says that it is unlikely that Britain will compete in the Olympic Games to be held in Tokio in 19-10 owing to disapproval of Japanese aggression in China and the tendency of some countries to use the Olympiads to secure international prestige. The decision will probably involve the end of the Olympiads, which will be replaced by the Empire Games. Britain will also increase the number of athletic matches against Englishspeaking teams.
