According to an official of the Department of Botany at Cape Town there are 300 kinds of seaweeds to be found on the coasts of the Cape Peninsula, apart from numerous microscopic varieties. An edible jelly is made with some of them. An enjoyable time is promised those who attend the opening dance of the season, which will be held in St. Patrick’s Hall. Queen Street, tomorrow night. Novelty dances will be included on the programme, and supper will be provided. The music will be supplied by the Blue River full orchestra. Cards will be arranged for non-dancers.
