LEAGUE RUGBY

TROUBLES OF LAST YEAR’S TOUR. MANAGERS AND SECRETARY CENSURED. (Recd This Day, 11.10 a.m.) Sydney, This Day. Both Messrs Sunderland and Savage, managers of the Kangaroo Rugby League team which toured England last year, and the secretary of the Board of Control, Mr Miller, were censured by a meeting of the Australian Rugby League Board of Control as a result of certain incidents and disputes during the tour. The chief of these was the refusal of the managers to conclude the tour when ordered to do so. Regret was expressed that certain unauthorised cables and correspondence had passed between Mr Miller and the managers.
