Gerard, vicar of St Matthew’s Church, Auckland (formerly of Pahiatua), and Mrs Gerard, have returned to Auckland from a visit to Mr Gerard’s parents in Canterbury. The death occurred at Palmerston North of Mr W. Francis, a former resident of Pahiatua, at the age of 83 years. His widow was formerly Miss Mary Williscroft, of Carterton. whom he married 62 years ago. The Rt Rev F. A. Bennett. Services in memory of the late Rev T. Fielden Taylor, who was missioner to the city of Wellington from 1919 until his death on May 29, 1937, were held at the Wellington City Mission yesterday. In the morning the Rt Rev Dr T. H. Sprott, former Bishop of Wellington, dedicated a memorial pulpit to Mr Taylor.
