Rooney, recitation, the final chorus being given by the concert party. The chief speaker for the evening was Savage C. C. Marsack, of the Masterton Savage Club, who gave an interesting address on “Law.” At an interval in the proceedings the healths of the lecturer, and of the visitors were enthusiastically toasted. The Buttery Hatch arrangements Were again under the capable charge of Savage G. S. Bruce, and were on the usual generous scale for which the club is noted. An instructive and social evening -was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem. ASCENSION DAY SERVICE.
