VENEREAL DISEASE
GREAT DRIVE IN UNITED STATES. BILL SIGNED BY PRESIDENT. WASHINGTON, May 25. President Roosevelt signed a measure providing 15,000,000 dollars for the establishment of nation-wide medical stations for the treatment of syphilis, marking the most ambitious drive against venereal disease believed to have been undertaken anywhere. The President praised the women’s organisations responsible for the passage of the law.
