SUGGESTED CHANGE

POWER BOARD HEAD OFFICE.

CARTERTON TO MASTERTON?

(“Times-Age" Special.)

The Secretary-Manager, Mr G. Brown, was instructed at yesterday’s meeting of the Wairarapa Electric Power Board to submit a report to the next meeting dealing with estimates of the cost and all other details involved in the event of the head office of the board being transferred from Carterton to Masterton.

Mr H. P. Hugo, who raised the question, said 54 per cent of the consumers were located on the northern side of the Waingawa River. He would like to know what advantages would be brought about by the change.
