HARRIER ACTIVITIES

TURNBULL CUP CONTEST. On Saturday the Kiatere Harrier Club will receive a visit from the Olympic Harrier Club .of Wellington, when the first of the home-and-homc contests for the Turnbull Cup will be decided. The race will be over a twolap course of five miles, commencing from the Solway Showgrounds at 2.45 p.m. The Turnbull Cup was donated last year by Mr James Turnbull, and after dead-heating in the first race, was eventually won by Kiatere. The Olympic Harrier Club will field a strong team of some twenty-five runners and have high hopes of avenging their defeat of last season. The visitors will be entertained at afternoon tea after the run and will be the guests of the evening at a dance to be held in the Arcade Hall.
