“PEOPLE’S CAR”
NEW FACTORY ESTABLISHED IN GERMANY. HITLER ON CHEAP MOTORING. (Recd This Day, 11.25 a.m.) BERLIN, May 26. Arguing that the posession of motorcars should not be the means of keeping classes apart, Herr Hitler laid the foundation stone of a factory at Fallersleben, near Brunswick, where a “people’s car” will be produced, costing £BO, payable in weekly instalments. Herr Hitler said the new car would not compete with the car industry. Anyone able to afford a better car can buy one.
