NOT RESIGNING
THOUGH BEATEN IN DAIL DIVISION. THE DE VALERA GOVERNMENT. DUBLIN, May 26. Mr de Valera’s Government was defeated yesterday by 52 votes to 51 on a private motion. The Dail immediately adjourned, but it is understood Mr de Valera does not propose to resign. Instead he will ask the Dail for a vote of confidence and abide by the decision.
