EXPRESS STRIKES LIGHT CAR. MOTORIST SUSTAINS GRAVE INJURIES. (By Telegraph'—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. A motor’ driver named Sanson, residing at Otorohanga, sustained grave head injuries, including a fractured skull, when his light car was struck by an express train at the Cook Street crossing shortly after mid-day. Eyewitnesses state that Mr Sanson was driving at a leisurely pace. It appeared that his attention was diverted to-' wards the shunting yards and that he failed to notice the approach of the express.
