FEATHERSTON
NATIONAL PARTY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of the Women’s Division, Featherston branch, of the National Party was held in the Anzac Hall on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs D. H. S. Riddiford presided and about 40 members were present. It was decided to hold a dance , and euchre tournament in the Anzac Hall on July 11, when special prizes will be given. LADIES’ GOLF. The ladies played a 9-hole eclectic match on the Gum Grove links yesterday afternoon. The results were as follow:- — A team. —Miss D. Bloxam, net score 32, 3 points; Miss M. Ruane, 33, 2; Mrs Stockley, 34, J point; Mrs Davis, 34, J point. B team. —Mrs Lovegrove 1, Miss Tocker 2, Mrs Jeffrey 3. , A stableford is to be played next Wednesday., METHODIST SERVICE. i A combined Methodist bi-centenary service was held in the Methodist ,Church on Tuesday evening. Addresses were given by the Revs Keenan (Presbyterian), J. T. Holland (Anglican) and Harkness. Members from the Anglican, Presbyterian, and Methodist churches provided the choir. Mr S. Booth was the organist.
