Secretly built from designs from Edward Spurr, an engineer, in collaboration with Lawrence of Arabia, a six-teen-foot speedboat, christened'the Empire Day, is expected to achieve a speed of 90 miles an hour, and is attacking the Italian world record speed of 70 miles an hour on Lake Windmere within three weeks.
