The match was all square at the turn. Then Hattersley. with a devastating run of 3. 3,4, 4. 2. 4, 4. took the match. Yates, the American Walker Cup player, defeated Pennink, the English champion. 3 and 2; Hector Thomson defeated Grant Govan, one up: Goodman defeated Briscoe, 6 and 5: the Cambridge Blue. Jocelyn Walker, defeated the American Walker Cup player, Reynold Smith, 2 up.
