FEATHERSTON
PERSONAL ITEMS. Mrs Allen Donald left today for Hawke’s Bay where she intends to spend the winter. Mr and Mrs Rae have returned from a holiday spent in Auckland. Mrs Lawson, snr., and Mrs George, of Pahiatua, are visiting Mr and Mrs H. Lawson for a few days. TOWN IMPROVEMENTS. Clifford Square, which until recent- /. ly was covered with long grass, has lately been mown and this together with the • fact that the Municipal Buildings have been painted, assist in giving Featherston a neat and tidy appearance. The section of the Square which was planted with flowering cherries by the Girl Guides, will be a pleasing sight when the trees, which are now well established, are in bloom.
