TYNESIDE BEAT STRONVAR. (“Times-Age” Special.) A very enjoyable match was played during the week-end between Tyneside and Stronvar and resulted in a win for Tyneside by 17 games to 10. The Tyneside links, on which the match was played, were in excellent order being much drier- than hitherto this season. The following are the results (Stronvar players being mentioned first in each instance): — Men’s singles: G. Elliot lost to O. Williams; A. Wyath lost to K. McDonald; A. Wardell beat H. Beetham; J. Hirshberg and N. Kummer, all square; H. J. Nitz lost to W. Gillies; W. Gordon lost to O. Sykes; J. Armstrong lost to W. Bannister; J. Broad lost to lan Macßae; M. McKenna lost to E. Williams; J. Bartholomew beat R. Bayliss; H. Cooper beat lan Talbot; H. Summers beat J. Clemas; T. Bertrum lost to W. Bannister Junr.
