IMPERIAL CONSULTATION SUGGESTED BRITISH PREMIER MENTIONS MEETING IN JULY INVITATION TO DOMINION GOVERMENTS (Recd This Day, 11.35 a.m.) LONDON, May 23. In the House of Commons, Miss E. Rathbone asked Mr Chamberlain to consider convening a conference of representatives of the Dominions for the purpose of formulating an imperial policy regarding political refugees. Mr Chamberlain replied: “The admission of refugees is a matter for each of His Majesty’s Governments to decide in light of local conditions. An opportunity of discussing some aspects of the question will be afforded at an inter-Governmental meeting in July, to which I understand the Governments of the Dominions will be invited.
