CLASH IN MEXICO
REBEL PARTY DEFEATED & PURSUED NEPHEW OF GENERAL CEDILLO KILLED. OPTIMISTIC OFFICIAL REPORT. (Recd This Day, 12.55 p.m.) MEXICO, City; May 23. The Defence Ministry has announced that Hipolito Cedillo, a nephew of General Cedillo, was killed, with 11 followers, in a clash with Government troops. It is added that Federal forces are pursuing the rebels and that: “We shall soon liquidate this situation. We are granting ample guarantees, to peasants who have been misled and are now returning to their homes.”
