CLARKE BEATS RAYNER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. May 23.' The lightweight champion boxer of Western Australia, Snowy Clarke, made his first appearance in New Zealand tonight, when he beat Clarrie Rayner, Blenheim, by a technical knock-out in the eleventh round. Clarke was the aggressor from the beginning, and during the course of the contest he had his opponent on the mat no fewer than nine times, the referee intervening after the New Zealander had gone down for a third time in the eleventh round.
