GRAND THEFT & FORGERY CHARGES. FILM STAR’S SECRETARY SENT FOR TRIAL. (Recd This Day, 10.10 a.m.) HOLLYWOOD, May 20. Sandra Martin has been sent for trial on twenty counts of grand theft and forgery. She was remanded in custody in lieu of ten thousand dollars bail. Sandra Martin, secretary of the film actress, Simone Simon, confessed to the police, according to a cablegram from Hollywood on April 24, to embezzling over £4OOO, with which she \bought jewellery, clothing and furniture.
