MYSTERIOUS SHIPMENTS FROM PARIS FOR BRITISH OR FRENCH PURCHASES? (Recd This Day, 12.50 a.m.) OTTAWA, May 20. Secrecy continues to surround arrivals from Paris of gold shipments which have reached a total of one hundred millions. It is believed to be either for British purchase of Canadian -made planes or a French purchase of United States munitions.
