STATE THEATRE.
“A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS.” At the State Theatre tonight there will be presented a programme of high standard. The star item will be the musical comedy, “A Damsel in Distress,” which should become a favourite with picturegoers because of its high entertaining value. In it will appear Fred Astaire, Joan Fontaine, George Burns, Gracie Allen, Reginald Gardiner and others. It contains sensational new steps, new songs, and new stars. There are good supports.
