ROYAL TOUR

A STARTLING INCIDENT (Recd This Day, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, May 20. A frightened police horse charged across the road in front of their Majesties’ car during the royal visit to Bolton, on the Lancashire tour. The chauffeur swerved to the off side and just escaped a collision. The Queen leaned back, startled, as the horse dashed past. The incident was over in a few seconds, and the party drove on calmly.
