HUME MEMORIAL CUP. (“Times-Age” Special.) The final round for the Hume Memorial Cup played by the members of the local club on Saturday resulted in a tie between R. McDougall and .Mrs Tikao with a. net aggregate score of 216 for the three rounds. The trophy for the best net score in the final round was won by D. Tikao. The following is the draw for the first round of Mrs Busch’s trophy to be played tomorrow: —Mrs McKenzie v. Miss McDougall; Mrs Bragg v. Mrs 'Tikao; Mrs Carter v. Mrs Herangi; Mrs Warren v. Mrs McLeod; Mrs Saunders v. Miss Tilson. Tile draw for the first round of the Campbell Cup is as follows: —B. McMaster v. T. Hume; K. Waiwera v. D. Jones; F. Lovegrove v. J. Riwai; S. Hall v. D. Tikao; J. Carter v. W. Charters; M. McLeod v. G. Munro; M. Herangi v. R. McDougall; V. Saunders v. S. Thomas.

PERSONAL ITEMS. Mr Con Mclntosh, who is a member of the police force at Auckland, is spending his annual leave with his parents. Mr M. Carter has taken up his residence in Dannevirke until August. Mr and Mrs Robert Neal will shortly leave for Wellington where they will reside permanently. SHEEP KILLING DOG. There has been considerable activity in the vicinity of the coastal sheep stations with a view of capturing a killer dog whose depredations are causing sheep owners much anxiety. A large number of sheep have already been destroyed. The dog does his sheep worrying at night. A reward will be given to anyone fortunate enough to destroy the dog. It is understood that ownership of the dog has been ascertained. MUTUAL IMPROVEMENT SOCIETY. There was a large attendance of members and friends at the weekly meeting of the Kohunui branch of the Mutual Improvement Association on Wednesday evening. Occasion was taken to farewell two visiting members who are returning to their homes in Auckland, and to welcome two members who are visiting the Wairarapa branches.
