MASTERTON CLUB. ANNUAL NOVICE RACE. ' The Masterton Harrier Club will hold its annual Novice race over one lap of its championship course tomorrow. The distance will be 3 miles. A 5-mile sealed handicap will be held for the rest of the members. With the approach of the meeting between Hutt Valley and Masterton clubs, members are expected to show some signs of form. So that a team may be chosen to oppose the visitors a dozen men will be picked to do special training after tomorrow’s trial. KIATERE HARRIER CLUB. FIVE MILE RACE TOMORROW. Commencing from the Solway Showgrounds at 2.30 p.m. members of the Kiatere Harrier Club will tomorrow race over five miles. The course will be two laps and runners will be started on a sealed handicap. Trophies will be awarded for first and second in the handicap placings. On May 28 the Olympic Harrier Club will visit the Kiatere Harrier Club to contest the first race for the Turnbull Cup.
