ARMY RECRUITING
DISTINCT ADVANCE IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 18. Recruiting for the regular army showed a distinct advance throughout the country last week. The intake for all arms was 930, an increase of 665 over the corresponding period last year. . In. .a statement at the Royal Tournament, on .recruiting, the Secretary of State for War, Mr L. Hore-Belisha. said that. the normal intake into the regular army at this time of the year had been about 400 for many years. As to the territorials, the results of the past two months had surpassed all records.
