DISTINCT ADVANCE IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 18. Recruiting for the regular army showed a distinct advance throughout the country last week. The intake for all arms was 930, an increase of 665 over the corresponding period last year. . In. .a statement at the Royal Tournament, on .recruiting, the Secretary of State for War, Mr L. Hore-Belisha. said that. the normal intake into the regular army at this time of the year had been about 400 for many years.
