LUNCHEON SETS
TO KEEP A PARTY BRIGHT. From Czechoslovakia and Germany come luncheon sets which are guaranteed to keep any party bright. There are some particularly smart ones in wine tonings, with border stripes a deeper dye, or overchecks. Some are in plain wine linen, hemstitched. Yellow cloths, graduating out to brown borders, are an up-to-the-minute combination. Then there are all shades and varieties of blue. Of course, all the cloths have napkins to match,'and the very newest and smartest have “lapkins,” special large, oblong napkins designed to cover the whole lap from side to side. For dining and wining you may have mat sets or ecru linen with Venetian or French lace, or else an all-over coloured cloth in, for instance, wine. China dinner sets, tea-sets, coffeesets, early-morning tea-sets, following the vogue for plain colour, are obtainable from Czechoslovakia in colours which follow out exactly the different room schemes in modern homes.
