METHODIST CHURCH

MEETING OF LADIES’ GUILD. The monthly meeting of the 'Methodist Ladies’ Guild took place at the Parsonage on Tuesday, the Rev F. Parker presiding over a good attendance. After the opening hymn and prayer, a welcome back to the Guild was accorded to Mrs Coradine. The ladies decided to work through the pyramid card system during the winter months, and to hold three congregational socials, the first to be held in June. Much appreciated items were rendered by Mrs F. C. Daniell, Misses I. Donald and V. Jackson. The Rev F. Parker gave a most interesting account of the early life of John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the social committee. A most successful and enjoyable meeting was brought to a close by the pronouncing of the Benediction.
