CARTERTON

INFANT’S DEATH. , (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred yesterday of Master Roy Philip Sage, infant son of Mr and Mrs A. H. Sage, of Beach Road, Te Horo, Otaki, as the result of an accident. Mr Sage was formerly a well known farmer of Belvedere, and was closely associated with the I management of the Carterton Football Club. He was also a prominent member of the Druids’ Lodge. Mrs Sage will be remembered as the daughter of Mr A. T. Whyte, formerly headmaster of the Carterton and Hastwells schools. Details of the accident show that the' mother placed the child on the ground while she shut the gate, when a horse walked over him, crushing his chest. The child was two years old. PERSONAL. ' Miss L. Fisher, of Auckland, daughter of the late Mr W. Fisher, formerly - “ Mayor of Carterton, is visiting the district. She is the guest of Mr and MrS James Fisher, of Carterton.
