RESIGNATION OF MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT. SERVICES OF DR. H. T. DAWSON APPRECIATED. The resignation of Dr H. T. Dawson from the position of Medical Superintendent at the Pahiatua Hospital, on account of ill-health, was accepted with regret at today’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board. It was decided to place on record appreciation of Dr Dawson’s services over a period of 36 years and to express the hope that he would be speedily restored to normal health. Mr W. Britland said Dr Dawson had won the esteem and admiration of many hundreds of Pahiatua residents. He was not only a good doctor, but also a sound friend. He hoped the evening of his' life would be happy and peaceful. Mr J. F. Thompson said Dr Dawson had added prestige to the board and there was every reason to greatly appreciate his wonderful service and administration. It was decided to invite Dr H. Paterson, of Pahiatua, to apply for the position, and to appoint him subject to the approval of the Minister of Health.
