GOOD SALE AT FIRM RATES. (Recd This Day, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 17. At the wool sales, 8716 bales were offered, including 4812 New Zealand and 7840 were sold. The demand was well sustained for a good selection which sold well at firm rates. There is a better demand for slipes. Sales: New Zealand greasy crossbred, Mataki, BJd, 9Jd; C.E.T 9d, 103 d; scoured crossbred, Outpate, 12.? d, 19d.
