Mrs Roy Jury, Pahiatua, is visiting Wellington. Mrs R. Burling, of Masterton, will leave on a visit to Sydney next week. Miss Forsyth, Wellington, is visiting Mrs C. J. Forsyth, Bannister Street, Masterton. Mr and 'Mrs H. Cornish, of Longbush, have returned home after a tour of the North Island. Miss Carey, Second Street, Lansdowne, is spending a few days in Wellington. Mrs J. H. Bremner, of Ballance, has as her guest Mrs N. Attwood, of Hastings. Mrs James Wilson and her daughter Vai, who have been visiting Masterton, have returned to Hawke’s Bay. Mrs Hetherington and Miss McCallum, New Plymouth, are staying with Mrs Hylton Brisco, Te Ore Ore. Mrs M. Sicely, of Marton, who had been on a visit to the Wairarapa, is now the guest of Mrs J. A. Ward, Pahiatua. Mr and Mrs J. de Castro, Cole Street, Masterton, who have been staying at Paraparaumu Beach, have returned to Masterton. Miss Nicholls, Wellington, is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs C. C. Monro, King Edward Street, Lansdowne. Mr and Mrs C. Woods, who have been staying with Mrs Woods, Senr., Albert Street, Masterton, have returned to Waipawa. Miss W. E. Midgby, formerly of Masterton, is visiting Wellington before joining the staff of St Margaret’s College, Christchurch. The wedding took place in Pahiatua on Thursday, April 28, of Eileen Dorothy, second daughter of Mr and, Mrs P. Hynes, of Eketahuna, and Percival David (Dick) Field, younger son of'Mrs M. A. Pearcey, of Pahiatua. Miss Janet Watt, who was seriously injured in the Ratana railway disaster, has been discharged from Wanganui Hospital and is at present the guest of Mrs Coppell, of Ballance. Mrs A. D. Low, assisted by Miss Edith -Low, gave a delightful party at her residence in Essex Street, Masterton, recently. There were six tables of bridge, and the first prize was won by Mrs Chapman, of Napier, who is at present staying with Mrs H. McKay, Renall Street, Masterton..
