SEA TRAGEDY
AMERICAN SHIP REPORTS FIVE DEATHS KILLER JUMPS OVERBOARD. THREE DROWNED IN ATTEMPT AT RESCUE. (Recd This Day, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, May 16. The American liner, City of Norfolk, from Baltimore, on arrival in the Thames, reported that following upon a fatal assault on a member of the crew, the assailant jumped, overboard and was drowned in the English Channel in a heavy sea. The boat that was lowered to rescue him, capsized and three of its occupants were drowned, thus five of the crew are dead.
