Twenty-five of the cleverest employees of the Great Western Railway in England are sheep-dogs, which work in the Welsh valleys and keep the lines clear of straying sheep. The dogs often warn men at work on the line of an approaching train. If they are unable to get clear of a train these dogs lie down between the metals until it has passed.
