BACON WORKERS
HEARING OF DISTRICT DISPUTE By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, This Day. Steady progress on clauses governing general conditions of employment was made in Conciliation Council yesterday, when the hearing of the Wellington and Taranaki bacon workers’ dispute was begun before the conciliation commissioner, Mr W. J. Reardon. Hours of work, wages, and holidays were still under discussion when the council rose.
