DRUIDS’ LODGE

FORRTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Druids’ Lodge was held in the Foresters’ Hall last night, the A.D., Bro. T. Pickett, presiding. Twelve brethren were reported on the sick benefit of the lodge, and favourable reports were received regarding their condition. Reports were received concerning a recent meeting of the U.F.S. Dispensary, the delegates stating that everything was progressing favourably. Bro. F. B. Pickering reported that a number of brethren attended the Diamond Jubilee wedding of Bro. J. Pickett, a suitable presentation being made to them during the evening. Bro. Pickett related some of his early experiences which were greatly appreciated by the members. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £l6 15s 4d were passed for payment. Bro J. Buckton reported that arrangements were being made for the card tournament.

At the conclusion of lodge business the members were entertained at supper. An enjoyable game of indoor bowls also took place.
