STOCK EXCHANGE

EFFECT OF RECENT EVENTS. SALES OF NEW ZEALAND ISSUES. (Recd This Day, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, May 13. The repatriation of the Franc had little effect on the Stock Exchange, which is very dull and irregular. The effect of the Australian London County Council loans has been to depress gilt-edged securities generally. The selling of New Zealand Stock is especially evident, following upon criticisms of the Dominion in the popular

press. Industrials are irregular and commodities slightly dearer.
