FAREWELL PARTY
MISS L. lORNS ENTERTAINED YESTERDAY. Miss L. lorns, who has been nursing in Masterton for a number of years and who is leaving on a visit to relations in England on May 20, was entertained yesterday at a delightful afternoon tea party held in the Oak Room of Messrs Hugo and Shearer. Mrs A. C. Milne, Misses O. lorns and B. Munro were the hostesses and the large number of guests included a number of nurses, who have been associated with Miss L. lorns in her professional capacity over a period of years.
Miss Jessie Hogg presided at the piano and Miss A. lorns, who has just returned from an extended trip abroad in the course of which she furthered her nursing experience, gave a most interesting and entertaining talk on the hospitals in the various countries which she visited. A recitation was given by Mrs R. Miller, while Misses Lois McGregor and Miss Monro referred to the many fine personal qualities of the guest of honour and wished her a safe and happy holiday.
